Yes, all of our packaging films are of food grade standard and are fit for contact with food products. There are many options available for
different food packaging applications. If you need help to find the best fit for your product, our team would be more than happy to assist you.
2. Do you have a price list?
We are sorry but we don't have a price list as packagings are customized products.
3. What's the information do you need to quote the price?

4. I have a product I want to pack but am unsure what type of flexible packaging I should be using, can Weilan advise me on what is suitable?
Yes, we can! We regularly have calls from customers who are experts in their own product but are not packaging experts and need guidance as to
what is the most suitable and cost effective flexible packaging for their use. Our Sales team is your first point of contact. Your dedicated
Account Manager will discuss with you details about your product, the size of the pack, the design you wish to use, the protection your product
will need and how the product will be packed, transported and warehoused so we can come up with the best packaging solution for your application.
5. What substrates / materials do you convert?
Our business manufactures flexible packaging using a wide variety of substrates / materials including film of various grades and finishes
(Polyethylene, Polypropylene and Polyester – clear, matt and metallised) as well as foil and paper.
6. How are materials converted and by what processes?
Materials are combined by laminating processes using glue. The choice of laminating processes (solvent-less or water-based adhesive lamination)
is generally governed by the requirements of the required end use.
7. What printing process do you use?
Weilan specialises in gravure printing.
8. What finishing processes do you use?
Our slitting department and warehouse completes the rolls of film for our customers' packing lines, ensuring the material is cut to size and
packed to meet delivery and handling specifications. We can also provide perforation at this point in the process if it is required.
9. How versatile is the range of substrates you convert?
The choice of raw materials covers a wide range which includes cast and oriented polypropylenes, polyesters, polyamides, foils in various gauges
and alloys and papers ranging from light plastic film to Clay-coated papers. Some films are gloss and some can have a matt or metallised finish.
This opens a variety of options for graphic artists when creating images for the end-user in addition to choices for protection of product and
machine handling.
10. What are some of the properties achieved by the coatings applied in the laminating and printing processes?
Coatings of various sorts can be incorporated to enhance and provide properties such as gloss, scuff resistance, slip, heat seal ability,
antiblocking, lubrication, and much more for your required application. Potential uses for coatings for your product can be discussed with
your dedicated Account Manager.
11. What technical support do you offer?
Weilan offers technical support from assisting with the transition of your printed image to being a print-ready design to go to press,
to recommending the correct flexible packaging material to best support your product and your packing machinery. Product development is
linked closely to tailoring products to the customer’s needs. We work with you from concept to execution of your packaging
solution – including advice, trial programs and after sales support.
12. Can you supply die-lines for my packaging?
Yes. All you need to do is tell us what type of product you are packing, your required dimensions and we can assist you with a die-line for
your design to be set into. Contact us with your die-line requirements for more information.
13. Where do you deliver to?
Weilan has formed great relationships with domestico and international transport service providers to ensure the safe and reliable delivery
of your packaging materials. Whether a client is located just around the corner, interstate, or international, we will ensure we chose the
right delivery method for your products and requirements.
14. Can you deliver directly to our co-packer?
Yes. All you need to do is give us their details at the time of placing your order.
15. Will I be able to attend the first print run of my job?
Yes. We encourage all of our customers to attend the first print run of their products. It's a great way for you to see how the print process
works, and see your products come to life! It’s also a great way for us to get to know you and your business.
However, if you elect to not attend, rest assured our experienced printers carefully review all instructions regarding the design ahead of
printing to ensure a quality result. Our pre-press process, with your input, incorporates the key requirements of your design from concept
to plate-making prior to being mounted on the press.
